FAB 2023 HIGHLIGHTS
Stretching the quality horizons for travel food & beverage
Hosted in Asia Pacific for the first time, the 2023 Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Conference & Awards in Bangkok (12-13 September) was an edition to remember.
An outstanding and diverse line-up of speakers, superb networking opportunities and, of course, the Gala Dinner culminating in the FAB Awards made for an eclectic and exciting mix as FAB returned in-person with a bang after four years of COVID-enforced absence.
We discussed the critical role of food as part of the airport consumer offer, and how travellers are seeking ever more tailored and local experiences, whatever their budget.
We examined sustainability, innovation and the power of digital combined with the human touch that every great travel food destination now requires.
In the FAB Awards we saluted best-in-class excellence across the travel dining world, and in our FAB Superstars awards, we recognised the contributions of frontline and back-of-house teams, celebrating those heroes and heroines who offer exceptional customer and company service.
In the following pages, we examine the conference sessions, showcase the networking moments and profile those deemed the best of the best in the FAB-ulous class of 2023.
