Airport F&B Offer Best Representing Sense of Place
Taiwan Flavors – Ever Rich Duty Free, Taoyuan International Airport
A proud Ever Rich Group President Kevin Chiang accepts one of the key awards of the evening from Dermot Davitt
Ever Rich Group’s atmospheric food court delivers a vibrant taste of Taiwan, offering a range of options from award-winning craft coffees and popcorn chicken to treats from a famed female chef. It’s a showcase of the best culinary delights from the islands, one that reflects local tastes, traditions and culture.
Taiwan Flavours opened on 30 June at Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 2, as Ever Rich tapped into the passion for food among Taiwanese and took inspiration from the best of street food and hospitality.
Concepts include VWI by Chad Wang from the 2017 World Brewers Cup champion and Le Moût Pâtisserie Boulangerie by Taiwanese Chef Chen Lan-shu, named Asia’s Best Female Chef in 2014. From celebrity names the offer extends to famous local street foods, including the popular Wang’s Broth from the vibrant Huaxi Street Night Market in Taipei, as well as Lao Zhang Beef Noodles.
Matsu Village, with its historical military dependents’ village ambiance, presents Taiwanese-style hamburgers, Gua Bao, and Wheel Cakes, while TKK Fried Chicken, with over 70 franchises scattered across Taiwan, is renowned for its Taiwan-style fried chicken.

As it has done across the airport, Ever Rich also redesigned the nearby gate area to chime with the F&B look and feel.
A special zone features visual records of traditional banquets, where travellers can select from wedding banquets, birthday celebrations and year-end corporate dinners, and see the corresponding traditional banquet dishes projected on the wall, plus hear the sound of real night market vendors selling well-known snacks on-site.
The airport seating also adopts the shape of rice bowls, with a traditional retro design that adds a touch of amusement. This multi-sensory experience immerses travellers in the lively atmosphere of a night market. A ’Gourmet Calendar’ has been designed to allow travellers to seek out their ‘culinary destinies’.
The distinct zones, exceptional culinary offers and design cues based on Taiwanese heritage helped this entry stand out as a powerful representation of Sense of Place in the FAB Awards 2023.
The EverRich ‘Street Flavours’ area features a curated selection of renowned culinary establishments, including VWI by CHADWANG, a brand led by 2017 world coffee champion Chad Wang; Le Moût Pâtisserie Boulangerie, helmed by Asia’s best female chef 2014, Lanshu Chen; Halal Beef Noodles, known for its diverse culinary offerings; and Wang’s Broth, famous for its Michelin-recommended black gold mushroom braised pork rice.
