FAB AWARDS
Awards night
The global food & beverage community gathered in Bangkok for a dazzling ceremony to discover the FAB Awards winners for 2023.
The Airport FAB + Hospitality Awards recognise excellence in the travel food & beverage sector, from grab-and-go bites to coffee bars and food halls to – this year, for the first time – airport lounges and other hospitality services.
Companies and locations are awarded not just for their commercial success but also for championing values of diversity, equity and inclusion, with a huge focus on sustainability and looking after the planet for future generations.
A Sense of Place was a focal theme at this year’s FAB + Hospitality Conference, with travellers increasingly demanding a feel for their surroundings through local tastes and flavours and supporting the key concept of provenance. That theme also fed into the awards submissions and judging.
The awards also represent recognition for the many front line, back of house, individuals, managers and teams, whose passion and effort bring the magic of travel food locations to life.

The judges received over 250 entries this year and were heartened by the excellence, the diversity and the passion underpinning them.
The judging panel included: Ann Elliott, owner of Ann Elliott Hospitality Consultancy; Nick Inkster, a highly respected consultant who spent 25 years with SSP; Kevin Zajax, CEO at Ground Control and former CEO & MD at Emirates Leisure Retail; Nick Goddard-Palmer, Co-Founder at Hunter Palmer – Global Retail Solutions; and Alan Gluck, a veteran US airport commercial revenues expert and Senior Aviation Commercial Planner for ICF.
They were joined by Sevda Fevzi, Canada-based President & CEO of global consulting firm Sevly Inc; Diana Chan, MasterChef Australia 2017 winner; plus The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie.
