This award, which produced joint winners, underlines the significance of the role our industry must – and increasingly does – play in protecting and regenerating our planet.
The first winner (also regional winner for the Americas & Caribbean), Morpho Travel Experience, takes a committed approach that is fully in line with the progressive eco-led tourism approach of its home country Costa Rica. It places a major emphasis on sustainability in its offer, and in how it communicates with its consumers. In fact, it sees education of its consumer audience as a core principle.
SSP Emirates’ ‘A Carbon Labelling First’ project also places a strong focus on informing and educating the end consumer, taking on the challenge of innovating around product and ingredient labelling in a new and fresh way. It was also regional winner for Middle East & Africa.
In Asia Pacific the regional award recognises the leadership role that Travel Food Services plays in sustainability and commitment to the planet, just as it does across many more areas of its operations.
Areas, our regional winner for Europe, offers a whole suite of initiatives both at corporate and team level and in its guest-facing services that focus on the planet.
