From a tremendous field both in terms of quality and quantity, Bob Marley’s One Love Restaurant stood out for its remarkable, icon-themed design and ambience.
The judges loved the sheer ambition, the fun, the community element and the brilliantly executed design concept that captures Bob Marley and his spirit in one restaurant.
There were also some very strong regional winners – with the overall winner also named as Americas & Caribbean winner.
In Asia Pacific we had joint winners. The first of these – Bombay Brasserie by Travel Food Services at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru – is a powerful reflection of modern India, with dazzling design and paying culinary homage to Bengaluru.
The other Asia Pacific award features “a buzzy, vibrant and coherent experience” by Jones the Grocer and SSP at Singapore Changi Airport.
Areas’ StrEAT concept won in Europe for its multi-concept market whose menu diversity is matched by its dazzling street culture-themed experience.
Paper Café won the Middle East & Africa regional award for Lagardère Travel Retail’s wonderfully quirky approach to combining retail and F&B that drives experience and spend among its target customer group of parents with young children.
