Vancouver Airport’s Christmas promotion (also regional winner Americas & Caribbean) was an outstanding example of how a joyous campaign can bring customers and staff together through food and the holiday spirit.
A simple seasonal proposition, it generated hugely positive feedback from staff and guests, and told a wonderful story of belonging and sharing moments together.
For Asia Pacific judges saluted Travel Food Services’ Lounge Self Check-In Kiosk in Mumbai, an initiative that allows travellers to beat the queues and stress of gaining lounge access.
Hello Customer by Avolta, regional winner for Europe, shows what can be done by turning data from the customer into insights and an enhanced offer, with the capability to collect feedback and analyse it in over 30 languages.
From the Middle East & Africa judges selected a concept that neatly blends the demands of parents and children in Paper Café & Lego by Lagardère Travel Retail at Dubai International Airport.
Two Highly Commendeds also stood out. The first, Brewery X at Ontario International Airport, has generated strong spends and customer satisfaction through its gaming suite, its emphasis on the attraction of golf, and the amazing localised vibrancy of its bar offer.
The second, iCoupon, is a superb initiative to make the handover points between airline and F&B seamless at airports, with positive commercial results and customer feedback.
