Airport Coffee & Tea Shop of the Year
Cha Hua Nong Tea House at Xi’an Xianyang International Airport and Veranda Café, Lagardère Travel Retail at Dubai International Airport
The Airport Coffee & Tea Shop category is always among the most hotly contested FAB Awards.
It’s a sector in which global names vie for attention and spend with an increasing number of artisanal, local brands.
Given the strength of the entries the judges decided to recognise two great offerings, one each for Tea and Coffee.
The Tea Shop winner – Cha Hua Nong Tea House at Xian Xianyang International Airport – carries “a lovely design and blended tea offer reflecting local practices and supporting local partners” said the judges, with true sense of place and taste of place.
The Coffee Shop winner, Veranda Café at Dubai International Airport, is a beautifully thought out, partnership-led product, noted the judges. It shows outstanding commercial performance and the airport company has hailed it as among its big recent success stories.
